ZEN HOUSE

COMING SOON --

This design was shaped by a distinctive site featuring a 15-degree angle along its property lines. In response, the home’s layout aligns naturally with the site geometry, resulting in open, light-filled spaces at the core of the plan that define the formal entrance. The main entry serves as a transition point, thoughtfully separating private and communal areas. Expansive glazing and dynamic rooflines further enhance the seamless connection between interior and exterior spaces, as well as the front and rear of the home.

At the heart of the home lies The Core — an open-air space where water, light, and structure converge. Designed to blur the boundary between inside and out, it anchors the home in calm connection. The surrounding rooms unfold around it, creating balance and fluidity through every view. It’s a moment of stillness, a living centre that defines how the home breathes and moves.

This home draws inspiration from the surrounding mountain peaks, expressed through articulated roof-lines and the thoughtful extension of exterior materials into the interior. These gestures ground the house within its landscape, creating a seamless connection between building and site. An open floor plan promotes fluid movement between spaces and establishes clear sight-lines throughout the home, while carefully considered spatial planning preserves a sense of privacy where needed.
